We are running FM6.0v3 and need to find an email plugin. I've looked at a few but they all seem to use the SMTP protocol. We have disabled that protocol in our office because of security issues. Can anyone point me to a suitalbe plugin? |

You may not need a plug-in. FileMaker's own Send Mail command will send emails using the computers own default email application ... unfrotunately the catch is that the email applications can be tempermental as to whether or not (and how) they work with this command. Some don't work at all, others work fine, and yet others may create emails but refuse to actuallly send them so you have to send them manually. Thus, the easiest way to solve your problems would be reactivating the SMTP protocol and configuring your SMTP server in a right way to only accept mails from hosts and/or users that shaöö be granted rights to use the SMTP server as a relay.
