If you create a runtime solution that has a drop-down, how do you allow it to be edited? The drop down menu has edit in it BEFORE I create a runtime version, but when I create the runtime version, edit is gone so items can't be added or changed. |

FM7&8 > You can create a table that holds the values for your list. Just one field per record. Then create a list that references to this field. Then allowing the users to edit this table. |

You've been able to do Value Lists this way in FileMaker long before version 7 was released. The ability is definetly in FileMaker 4 and probably was in FileMaker 3 as well. )Helpful Harry Hopefully helping harassed humans happily handle handiwork hardships ;o) |
