Hi All, I have a bit of experience with FMP, and I've come across a scheduling board for custom manufactuing done in FMP in the past, but I don't know where to start to make this idea come to fruition. Here it is: It is a small print shop, and I want to be able to pull data from my planning software into FMP. Essentially, there would be a card that would have a bit of info about that particular job (pulled from the planning software, and contains job number (unique serial), customer, quantity, layout, press, paper, has paper been ordered, have plates been output), and I would be able to move this card around on a calendar and then be able to prioritize within a particular day (there will be several jobs on the same press on the same day) Then, for each machine (cost center), I want to setup a schedule board that would have the day of the week at the top (Monday, Tuesday, Wed, etc), then, have a priority field so that priority 1 would be at the top of the list and the operator would know to run this first, priority 2 would run second, etc. The card would move around as is needed by the scheduler. At this point, I can visualize this in my head, but I don't know how to get started. Honestly, it's the calendar part that trips me up the most, and whether this would be a report, or in the browse mode (me thinks browse mode). Any ideas? |
