Default DB expires using IWP - 04-29-2010 , 07:16 PM

I can successfully share my FM DB with IWP but after sometime this is
no longer available at the specified URL? I can't find a timeout or
expiry setting anywhere in FM so unsure why this happens?

p.s. I'm a newbie to FM.

It might be more on the computer/server side. Is the computer the file hosted on a dynamic host, so it switches IP address? Or maybe there is a timeout process on your server, like if there is no action on the file, or maybe your internet provider just has a timelimit on how long it can stay open at a time. Or if it is on a host computer instead of a dedicated remote server, the network link goes down if the host computer goes into sleep mode/hibernation?

You need a fixed or "static" IP address from your ISP to make IWP
connections reliable. Your ISP may charge a modest additional fee for
this.
