Default Create custom icons with transparent background - 07-06-2004 , 09:58 AM

Does anyone know how to create icons or images, using Photoshop or Corel
Photo-Paint, with transparent backgrounds? I know there are packages you
can purchase but I would like to know.
FYI: I am using Win XP, FP 7.

Thanks,

Joe

It's easy. Make sure your Background is transparent in
Photoshop--your bottom layer cannot be named "Background." Rename the
layer "Layer 0" or something else by double clicking on the layer in
the layer palatte. Save the file as a PNG image. Then import into
FileMaker.

FM 7 seems to handle transparency quite well.

In Photoshop, create image on its own transparent layer. Choose Save
For Web... from File menu item, change the settings to 24-bit PNG with
transparency. Save the file.

Now in Filemaker, go to Layout mode, choose Picture... from the Insert
menu item. Select the PNG you saved earlier. It should show up on the
layout with complete transparency
