Hello Group, I inherited a database built in FMP v8.0 consisting of 8 tables. Trying to "fix up" the system has proven far too difficult so I've decided to try & rewrite the entire database. I made a base table with most of the field definitions I think I will need. Now I'm not sue how to transform this initial table into the 7 that are left without being forced to change all of the calculation fields & (self) references to the name of the new table. I am using v 8.5. Thanks in advance. |

Bill, Thanks for your rapid response. There are certain "features" that I would normally put in most of my tables : - Highlighting a word in a find - Record navigation : next, previous, first, last - Layout navigation : form screen, list, table screens - Scripts : if nothing found, etc. I wanted to avoid writing these basics for each database - is that a bad idea ? Thank again, Geo. geo wrote: Hello Group, I inherited a database built in FMP v8.0 consisting of 8 tables.
