FMP 8.5 Instant Web Publishing / Win XP

I have a reporting solution hosted on the web using Instant Web Publishing.
When the checkbox lists have more than one check it refuses to allow it and
will only allow one checkbox to be checked at once... it seems to be working
as a radio button? has anyone come across this? any suggestions?

1) Make sure there is "more than ample" room for all the checkbox options to
show on the web page. Sometimes any clipping at all results in the check
boxes not functioning correctly.

2) I have encountered a couple times where the layout gets "corrupted" in a
way that causes check boxes to break on IWP. Creating a fresh layout with a
newly-formatted check box field works properly. (Recover doesn't work to fix
it, only creating the new layout does.)
