Yes, if you change the border colour of the field then the checkmark of
a checkbox field and the dot of a radio button field will be that
colour ... and so will the empty square / circle of the unchosen
options.
You can always overlay these with a plain black (or whatever colour)
box / circle, but the border colour version will appear whenever the
field is clicked in, unless you define the black square / circle as
buttons which run a custom script to set the checkbox / radio button
options on and off.
The other way is to use some container fields (or Dingbat / Windings
font character if you know the font will be on the user's computer) and
scripts to define your own checkbox / radio button function using
whatever image and colours you want. I often use a proper tick mark
instead of the Mac OS 9's 'X'
