Default change color of check boxes - 09-23-2005 , 03:41 PM

Is it possible to change the color of the check mark in the check box
from blue to red? Changing the color of the text doesn't do it, is
there another way?

thanks

I think the checkmark and the checkbox border have to be the same color
and you change them in the field border color setting.

Yes, if you change the border colour of the field then the checkmark of
a checkbox field and the dot of a radio button field will be that
colour ... and so will the empty square / circle of the unchosen
options.

You can always overlay these with a plain black (or whatever colour)
box / circle, but the border colour version will appear whenever the
field is clicked in, unless you define the black square / circle as
buttons which run a custom script to set the checkbox / radio button
options on and off.

The other way is to use some container fields (or Dingbat / Windings
font character if you know the font will be on the user's computer) and
scripts to define your own checkbox / radio button function using
whatever image and colours you want. I often use a proper tick mark
instead of the Mac OS 9's 'X'
