Default Change/Add text to a button - 11-08-2006 , 06:06 PM

I am from Brazil and use the Business Productivity Kit in my Company. I
use FMPro 8

I made many changes in the BPS added new modules and change the exist
modules.

I need help to change the text in the buttons.

For example: in the module "Contacts" there are a button associated
with a scrit to go to list view layout but when the mouse is over the
button I see the text "Go to List view". I want to change the text.

If one could help me to solve this I will be very grateful.

thanks and best regards,

Andre

If they are normal FileMaker buttons, then you can change the text on
them by using the Text tool when in Layout mode.

Harry I think he means Tooltips.

Wich for 8.5 Adv is to be found when selecting the button, under menu >
format > Set tooltip. This is an Advanced only feature. So the OP can not
change them hisself I'm afraid. Only way would to just replace the buttons
to get rid of the tooltips. Or to find an Adv version and use this.

I'll second that it sounds like the issue is ToolTips ("...when the
mouse is over the button I see the text "Go to List view".) There is a

There are a lot of layouts with a button with exactly that ToolTip in
the BPK.

To get rid of the Tool Tip he'll have to make his own buttons or get
Advanced.
