Default Case Conversion - 08-15-2003 , 10:55 AM

I have recently been giventhe job of importing some old DOS information into
our sales database. The database is FMP. Could someone pplease tell me how
I can change multiple words in a text field from all upper case to upper
case on the first letter and lower case on all subsequesnt letters, please.
The volume of information is huge and I would love to find/build ascript to
do this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bob,

Try creating a calc field using the Proper(<your text field here>) function.

Oh... and once you are happy with the result in the calc field you can run a
replace either manually or as a script, and move the data back into the
correct field.
