I have FileMaker Pro Server 7 on an iMac G5 running 10.4. Today I tried to burn copies of several FMPro 7 databases to a CD from my server. I closed the databases first, dragged copies to the CD-R, then gave the Burn command. It said they couldn't be burned to the CD because of an error. I don't have the exact wording, but there wasn't an error number or description. I assumed at the time it was some kind of permissions problem, but I don't see anything in the documentation about that. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I guess maybe it could be a bad CD, although it's brand new and doesn't appear scratched. I didn't have time to see if it would let me burn other files onto it, but I guess that's the next thing to try (besides trying a different CD for the databases). Thanks for any leads. Amanda |

I've had problems with several types of files where an application hasn't "let go" of them completely after quitting. Restarting Windows usually clears this up. Make sure the files are on a local disk, not networked. Restart the PC, and try again. Should work, provided they fit on the CD and that you have enough free space on your boot volume. Bill |
