Default Best Place to buy FM?? - 12-11-2006 , 03:48 PM

Hi

I'm in Canada, where is the best place to buy a 5 pack of FM8.5 ??
Local store don't carry that software.... FM Store ? will they ship software
or only download links and no CD's ?
At that price I want all my CD ) !! Will OEM do ? (what's the deal ? no
books in OEM ??)

Any online store other then Amazon.ca

Thank you

I order them directly from the online Filemaker store and they send a full
boxed version.
You have to pay the GST and the shipping.

"OEM" versions are meant to come as part of a bundle (eg. with a new
computer) and are only legally allowed to be installed on the computer
they came with. Anyone selling "OEM" versions separately is doing so
illegally - often they're simply selling pirate copies pretending to be
OEM versions. It's bet to stay away from them entirely.

If you're a student / teacher and are NOT intending to use the software
to run a business, then you can buy FileMaker (and other software) at
reduced "educational" pricing.
