I didn't say YOU didn't know Excel, I said most people don't.

If you would like to do it completely in Excel its fine with me. This is
a FileMaker forum and FileMaker is more then capable to do the job in a
fast and elegant matter. I finished with the whole discussion "database
vs spreadsheet" 15 years ago. |
I know what this forum is (I have been here a long time), but FileMaker
is simply NOT the best tool for this type of job unless all you want is
simple Summary field answers. Anything more complicated can require
hours of work to get around missing functions like CountIf which would
take seconds in Excel.
It does of course depend greatly on the types of questions and exactly
what you want out of it - Excel would be pretty hopeless for a
questionnaire that has many textual answers (eg. "What were the best
points of the course?", unless you standardised people's responses).
Use whatever you want, it makes zero difference to me. Someone asked
the question and my answer IS a valid one, but there's no point in me
arguing with you about it.
