I realized that the ADJUST WINDOW script step, with the RESIZE TO FIT
option, performs the action to all the open windows and not on just the
current one !!!
Is that the case or I am doing something wrong?

Not knowing what version of FileMker you're using on what platform, all I can do is relate that I do not see the behavior you describe in 8.5 Advanced, neither on Windows XP nor on OSX.

I created a script which opens 6 new windows in succession, followed by an Adjust Window [ Resize to Fit ] step.

Only the last window opened (Current Window) is resized.

Help is not specific, but "FileMaker 8 Functions & Scripts" (Love, Lane and Bowers) is: the step affects the current window.

Is the step in a loop?

Yes the other windows are maximized and ony one I want to be non-maximized.
