Strangely enough, I just opened a version of the file by using the FM8 "open" command in the tool bar (first time) and not from the /file/open command. It opened the file. The guest option was available, used that. There was a reference about network sharing - something I am not trying to do at present. I went back and tried to open the original FM6 file, (with all data and passwords intact) using the toolbar but rec'vd the same result - no access. kooky? Have you tried specifically adding a new password in 6 with full access, then converting it and seeing what you get? After FM8 converts my FM6 file and I attempt to open, FM8 serves - Open "filename x" using: Account name and Password? FM8 is getting the account name from the FM8 application preferences. But I am at a loss to what password it is referrring to. I've tried passwords related to the converted file to no avail. My keychain password - noluck. What am I missing? Can anyone advise? |
