Default wbtrv32.dll ?? - 08-15-2003 , 08:52 PM

Can anybody tell me, how to install wbtrv32.dll ?

I tried to use BtSearch32 from www.nssdd.com to create DDF then to
export my netware btrieve v6.10f into text file it required file
wbtrv32.dll and I already downloaded then copied it into directory
c:\windows\system and c:\program files\btsearch32, but still not work.

Is it possible to open my btrieve file (without DDF) with psqlv81 or
psql2000i ?

WBTRV32.DLL is the 32 bit interface to Btrieve. It was introduced with
Btrieve v6.15 and will not connect to a v6.10 engine.
It is possible to open your files without DDFs using any version of Btrieve.
You'll need to know the record structure and write a program that accesses
the file using the Btrieve API. If you have DDFs, you can use a number of
other tools to read the data.
The WBTRV32.DLL is included with P.SQL 2000i, and PSQL V8.

You will need the install disks for the Windows Btrieve 6.15.
wbtrv32.dll is just one of many DLL files as well as the installation
writes to the registry. Another alternative is to download Pervasive
SQL V8 at www.pervasive.com/downloads. If you install this then you
can use BtSearch32 to access your data.

The reason DDF files are required is they define how the record
structure is layed out. Btrieve files do not contain the record
structure within the file thus you must use the DDF files. ODBC also
requires DDF files.
