I am having a problem getting 6 new workstations (XP Pro) SP1 Sony VAIO's to work in the Pervasive v7 enviornment. It seems like I can only get one PC onto the server (W2K Server) at a time. I have only 6 users with a license for 12. Any ideas? I don't want to upgrade to 2000i or V8 because my company is actually going to a different accounting package later this month. It would be a waste of money. They will only use the v7 for lookups. Thanks- |

It would help knowing what Status code (numeric) or error message that you get back when it fails. Also, can you verify in the Pervasive Monitor on the server, in the Resource Usage screen, that you actually have 12 licenses? This is an unusual number for PSQL7... Goldstar Software Inc. Bill, Another question-- Here's the situation- I am going to set up a 2003 server specifically for Pervasive 8 for a package called Profit. I have a 2000 server with Pervasive v7 already in production that is now working fine with the new XP Pro workstations. Will there be a problem, or know of a problem, if these two verions of Pervasive are active in the same production enviornment? For example if a user connects to the v7 database and then connects the v8, will there be any complications? Will it corrupt the data.... Thanks- |
