I have a client that just deployed a new server to deploy a new accounting system. They presently are running Macola 7.6 on the Pevasive 2000 database engine. Since they do not have the 2000 install discs I was unable to migrate the accounting software to the new domain. The accounting department is using KVM switches to switch between the two accounting systems. This requires a seperate network for the old and new accounting systems. It turns out the new accounting software uses the Pervasive 8.0 database engine. I have tried copying the Macola files over to the new server, running the Macola setup and I get the error "You are not registered to run Pervasive SQL" Is there anyway to get Macola using this 8.0 Pervasive installation for the three months the transistion will take? The client does not want to spend the money to buy a database engine for three months, but the two networks is a real pain. Any help would be appreciated. Jeff |
