Default Upgraded to V8 and getting crash on Monitor - 11-11-2003 , 11:03 AM

Just upgraded from a workstation(win98) engine(2000i) on my
workstation to V8 Developers Workgroup engine.
Also upgraded my Win2000Server from Server version 2000i to V8.

Now I get a crash in w3dbsmgr when I launch the Monitor on my
workstation and it refers to an invalid page fault in "TAPI32.dll"??
After I close the error dialogue everything appears to operate
normally.

Does anyone have any insights as to what might be happening here??

tapi32.dll is the Microsoft Telephony dll.
Telephony is used by dialup networking.

Is the computer set to use dial up networking?

I have a dialup connection which is used only about once every 6
months. My regular connection is cable modem.. I recognized the
tapi32.dll as part of the telephony stuff as well.
Strange that this never happened before the upgrade...
I do use the dialer feature in Windows a lot but I've never seen this
problem before.
I'll try to figure out if it happens after I use the dialer or not...
