Default Upgrade from PSQL 8.5 to 9.5 - 05-16-2007 , 03:09 PM

For various reasons, I'm considering upgrading from our current
PSQL Server 8.5 to 9.5. Is it a drop-in install-and-go upgrade?
Are there ANY potential problems?

Thanks,
john

Most applications have no problem moving from 8.5 to 9.5. The
installer should automatically clean up any old stuff.

Of course, prudence says that you should have a full (tested) backup
before beginning, just in case, and that you test the app with the new
database first, if possible.

That Prudence is quite a wise woman. She always seems to have good
advice. ;-)
