Default There are no child items available to display for the selected treeitem. - 12-19-2007 , 09:10 AM

Hi,

I have Pervasive v8 WGE with SPK3 in Windows environnement. When I
try to access my database (table) in PCC I have this message :

"There are no child items available to display for the selected tree
item. You can use the Refresh command to update the child item list."

It's impossible to view my table. If I try the same thing with
another computer it work well. I try to uninstall Pervasive and
remove all registry key and folders but it dosen't work.

Ideas?

Thanks!

This might help:

ID: 00017273 - There are no child items available to display for the
selected tree item in the Pervasive Control Center.
Description: There are no child items available to display for the
selected tree item in the Pervasive Control Center. In the Pervasive
Control Center, clicking Tables under the Databases (Engine), returns
"There is no child items available to display for the selected tree
item. You can use the Refresh command to update the child item list." A
MKDE.TRA, reveals either a status 94 from the directory (usually it is
C:\TEMP) or a status 11 when the specify directory doesn''t exist .
Status 94: The application has encountered a permission error. Status
11: The specified filename is invalid.
Environment: Pervasive.SQL V8 Windows 2000 server
Cause: When users access a database to get a list of table names in
Pervasive Control Center, the engine will create a temporary sort file
to sort the data. If this directory doesn''t exist or users don''t have
permissions to this directory, no table names are displayed. Either the
user did not have the permission to access the directory in the
MKDE.TRA or the specify directory didn''t not exist.
Solution: Give Everybody FULL control to the specify directory in the
MKDE.TRA or create the directory if it doesn''t exist.

Thanks Bill,

I already found this solution to Pervasive website but it don't work
anymore. I didn't found any MKDE.TRA files. I give "Everyone - Full
Control" to the Database & temp folders.

Another ideas?

Thanks.
