Hi, we tried to install PSQL 9.7 single seat in the XP-VM from Win 7 (pro). The installation runs without error. After installation changes of setting in the controlcenter are ignored without comment: one can change them, but the change will not saved. Even if on restart the VM imidiately after changing the old setting is again active. So I change the setting directly in the registry: I shitch off "using remote engine". But althought now the tag in the PCC is not set, the problem remains: The problm is: I have mapped the harddrive of the Win7 host as a networkdrive in the VM. If I access files on thet drive from within the VM I get btreive-Error 11: so I supposed, turning remote access off, the file will be opened using the local engine. Therfore I want to change this setting in the PCC with the result described above. But even with remote switched off, I get error 11. Is there anything known, why the changes in PCC are ignored and how I can access files on a netword unsing local engine? btw: in the host there is no PSQL installed. For the settings: I already tried to add the default-VM-XP-user to the group Pervasive_Admin, and also using the user Adminsitrator itself: no success: changes in PCC are ignored. Regards Mircea |
