Default Recognize problem - 01-20-2004 , 03:48 AM

Hello,

I have some files with the extensions: mdb (with data), def (probably
with definitions of sth) and ndx (with indices). I guess it might be
BTrieve-like database. I'm trying to recognize what kind of driver is
required to retrieve the data or at least to see the structure and so
on...

Thanks in advance...
Peter

For sure that aren't Microsoft Access files. Some of *.mdb's begins as
follows:

"e BL#Ó ABCDEF ABC Holding, inc.
24 Greenslaves Street 567-33London
654-213-76-33 665-567-98-03 ING
Nat. Nederl.
56 Shith Avenue
188998435-27768443-03454-327769
675-43-62-399 Ë"

where the second character is char(0). Follow that there are some data
like in dbf files... Is any database data file format begins with "e
BL"? ... or could I somehow simply export the data to a text file or
other database using any driver...?

Thanks
