Bill, Thanks for your comments. There is nothing wrong with the memory as the Novell server was reformatted with Windows 2000 server and has been fine for the last month or so. The key thing is that the original server worked perfectly for over 2 years then suddenly, overnight desktop applications like Excel/IRIS etc started crashing using data on the network drive, Sage Payroll files were being reported as corrupt and previously ok EXE or ZIP files stored on the server could not be successfully copied and run on ANY local machine. As I said there were a number of cases a few years back where IRIS (www.iris.co.uk) and Pervasive had been installed on 4.11 servers and the same thing happened and the servers needed rebuilding but I had been assured by IRIS the problem had been solved by using the latest Pervasive for Novell software. I am having a similar problem 1 whole year after this last post. I am trying to install win2k on an nforce board. So, I have a question, has anybody gotten this dealt with and what was the solution?
