Hi,

does nobody has experience with international sorting rules (isr),
or was it just a stupid question? :-)

Any hint would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Daniel

I have done som testing and got some answers.
Using the DTI to add ISR does not work at all, it adds
information in the ddf-files but not in the files keys.
Adding ISR by creating keys manually with btrieve maintenace
utility works to add sorting roles for the keys.
So I have not found a proper way to add sortingrules that works
both in sql and directly with btrive api.

I have sent a testcase to Pervasive and got this answer on
the case CR 45405

Stefan,

We did receive your test case. Thanks you very much for that.
I have not so good news. Our relational engine does not support
ISRs. I thought we could at least fix the DTI interface so that
Btrieve users could create files through DTI with ISRs defined but
we are concerned that this would allow users to create data that
our relation engine can't read.

We will be adding the ability to use ISRs to out relational engine
in future P.SQL release.

If you have any questions or feedback on this issue please do not
hesitate
to
contact me.

Hi!

You can add the collate.cfg to a key with the Betrieve Maintenace
Utility. Create index-> use ACS -> press ACS Information button ->
select Intenational Sorting Role -> enter the name of the sorting
rule "PVSW_DEDE00437_0" or "PVSW_DEDE00850_0" dependent of codepage.
