Default Query Performance - 06-15-2007 , 07:26 AM

I have database software (written in Clarion) which accesses Btrieve
data directly.
I also pull off reports using ODBC via Pervasive CC.

I have found that when I was using 2000i the software would get the
performance priority. Running ODBC reports would chug along slowly but
would have no detrimental effect of the software performance.
Since moving to Version 9, the ODBC reports now seem to get all of the
resources and my software grinds to a halt.

Is there a setting somewhere to control the allocation of resources?

The engine config controls the allocation of server resources, but CPU
time is not one of them. The engine tries to balance and handle all
incoming queries equally. This may be a good suggestion for a future,
enhancement, though.
