Default PSQL2000 and SQL Server 2005 - 08-23-2006 , 03:19 AM

Hi,

Is anyone aware of any issues of using Pervasive PSQL2000 and SQL
Server 2005? I've done a test with our application on a 2k5 box and
were seeing timeout's within the application. Hardware is definately
beefy enough.

Cheers

Pervasive.SQL tries to run as a background service, whereas SQL Server
will try to monopolize the entire box's CPU and memory whenever it can.
(I suppose this helps performance of SQLServer, but it also helps MS
sell more server licenses.)

In short, while it will work, we do not recommend it unless one of the
two databases is only minimally used.
