Does version 7 run on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server or are there
problems. I know that this version is not supported by pervasive but does it
work. The clients will be XP workstations.

V7 has problems on multi-CPU servers for sure. I'd expect it to be fine on
SBS2003, although access rights could be a problem if users are not
Admin-equivilent (which is the same as the issues on 2000).
