Default PSQL Data Location - 04-07-2008 , 10:44 AM

Hi,
I would like to change the PSQL data location (/usr/local/psql/data)
to a
new directory ej /archives/psql

Do you know how to do it?

I am using Ubuntu Server 7 and Pervasive V9

If you want to change the PSQLDATA sharename, you just need to know
that the default samba share setup is /usr/local/psql/data. You can
change it by editing the configuration file for samba found in /etc or
/etc/samba.d called smb.conf. Restart samba following any changes to
get them to take effect.

Be sure that the files in that folder are accessible by user psql or
group pvsw.

Our server has 2 hard drives
one for "/" and another HD for "/data"

I have change all critical info in "/data "

Examples:

apache DocumentRoot /data/web/
mysql datadir = /data/mysql

How do I change the PSQL data location /usr/local/psql/data to "/data/
psql" ???
