Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of moving my development environment from Win98 to a
new PC with XP-Home. I downloaded the Developer's Workgroup Engine v8.6
and tried to install it. The install doesn't complete and I'm left with
the install window showing a full progress bar, which I have to close by
ending the task. These are the last few lines from the install log...

accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if
the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support
personnel for assistance.
I re-registered msiexec.exe as per the MSKB cure, but this made no
difference. I can install the Workgroup Engine and SDK from my original
v2000 CD and apply SP3 and SP4 but I wanted to make a fresh start with
the latest downloads.
Can anyone please help?
