Hello, I posted this problem a few days ago in the pervasive\devtalk forum but got no substantial help so I try it in this forum: I just downloaded DDF Builder 4.0 and installed it. But after starting the builder I get the message 'An error has occured when creating this view' under the tab 'DataSources'. In the log I find some entries which are older than my installation but also some actual entries like !SESSION Sep 05, 2005 15:00:46.563 --------------------------------------------- eclipse.buildId=I200406251208 java.version=1.5.0_04 java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc. Control Center is installed (Version 9.10.020.000) This is the first installation of the Builder, no beta was previously on the machine. I de- and re-installed the Builder and got the same result. What is wrong with my installation? Karl |

I tried it (installation and re-installation of the client and the builder) on two different machines (Win2000 and XP), both with the same results: PSA shows errors when checking relational access (at Create Table, Update/Insert Data)(Btrieve Error 25) DDF Builder shows up with the message mentioned above I tried it again as admin but the results were the same (Btrieve Error 25). I don't know if the error of the client-installation causes the problem with the Builder or if they are independant. Should I re-install the server too? Do I have to consider something special? Can I install the client direct from PSQL_9.10_Windows_Client.exe or must I first install the 9.0 Client and then run the 9.1 patch? Questions over questions, and it looks to me that the old 'Run out of the box' principle of P.SQL 7 doesn't apply here any more. What a pity. BTW: I didn't mention my configuration yet: Novell MW 5.1 SP8 P.SQL V9.1 Clients: Windows 2000 and XP Karl |
