Just wondering if anyone has been able to install the client from V8.5
on a Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server box? I cannot. I get various weird
and wonderful errors when I try to

eg. one version of the client appears to install but comes up with
error 1904 sqldm.ocx failed to register. HRESULT -21447220473. Contact
your support personnel.

Other (newer) versions of the 8.5 client refuse to install at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

It should install, but you MUST have Service Pack 6a. Check this by
selecting Start/Run and entering WINVER. It should show "Revised Service
Pack 6a" on this screen.

Also, be sure that you are installing it from the server console (not from
a remote session), and that you are logged in as an administrative-level
user.

BTW I tried installing the V8.1 Client and this appears to work ok.

server with a V8.1 client. Our clients will be using both W2K and XP
workstations and the NT TS box to access our software (and btrieve).
