Trevor:
You should run this one of three ways:
1) Upgrade to the Pervasive PSQL v9 Server Engine. This will install
itself as a service for you, and provide access to the users. A 6-User
engine starts around $700.
2) Log in at the TS console FIRST. If you log in from the Terminal
Server Console BEFORE allowing users to log in from TS sessions, this
will load the engine at the console, and it will be available to other
users. This is only bad if you need to periodically reboot the box
remotely, as someone will need to log in to get the engine running.
3) You can try installing the WGE as a Service, following the
instructions in the white paper at www.goldstarsoftware.com/press.asp
-- this white paper has info on setting this up, as well as a tool to
help with it.

Has anyone gotten pervsive 9.1 to run on a win 2000 server as a
service? This has been installed for 1 user who uses maximizer 9 but
can't access their address books. The app ran for the first day
when she logged in but once she logged out, could not access the
pervasive DB's, Even from the control center. We belive it's the
microkernal engine that is causing the problems. Any help would be
appreciated. |
