i have only dat and idx on my novell server no nml no ddf

i would like to export data to access or on a mysql db i want to read data
file out from btrieve

I tried some applications to define the ddf but no one works.(persiscope,
btutils)
have I to program a C++ or Delphi routine to get the data from file?
I tried to open file reading byte by byte but is quite hard

Please help me i don't want to give fire to my server

You can take a look at BtSearch32 at www.nssdd.com. It will help you
analyze the structure and build the DDF files. Once built you can use
it to export to dbase or ascii or you can use ODBC as long as the data
types that were used by the developers are supported by the ODBC
connection.
