Default OLD DOS Btrieve export issue - 02-28-2005 , 04:03 AM

I have been given the task of extracting an old Ver5.00c database, currently
used by an old TAS Pro ver3.03 June28, 1989 booking and accounts system.

When I try using the internal export facilitiues to export to DBaseIII it
looses field data like dates.

When I use BTSearch it errors (Invalid Page Size)

The files the data are stored in are ".M" does this mean anything to anyone?

I have also tried BTUtil but it gives an error 24 Invalid Page Size.

I don't really know what to do next I've spent 3 days on it so far, and got
no-where!

Regards

Adam

Adam,

To use BtSearch it will require the Windows Btrieve drivers. If you
are using the 16-bit version with the 5.x wbtrcall.dll then you will
need the following line in your win.ini file.
[btrieve]
Options=/m:64 /p:4096 /b:32 /f:150 /l:40 /n:12 /u:32

If you are trying to use the 32-bit then you should download the
Pervasive Btrieve trial at www.pervasive.com/downloads. You should not
mix versions of Pervasive Btrieve on the data at the same time.

Thanks,
Gil
