I have a DDF that periodically loses a line, always for the same table.
I can't imagine why this is happening. It seems to happen at random
times, not that often, but occasionally it does happen. Has anyone
ever encountered something like this? The fix is simple enough (I just
drop the table in the dictionary, and recreate it), but it is making me
crazy!!!

You could just flag the DDFs as read-only at the OS level.
It would be crude but effective at keeping them from changing.

Might be a side affect of an error popping up for the person / process
trying to alter them. Of course that might lead you right to the
culprit which might not be a bad thing.
