Start at http://www.goldstarsoftware.com/press.asp and view the white
paper on ODBC access. Btrieve 5.1 won't have ODBC access natively, but
you can do a stand-alone extract with the Pervasive.SQL V8 database
engine. Pay special attention to the mention of DDF's in that paper, as
that willbe your biggest problem. If you have no DDF's, then jump to
the end, and you'll see info on exporting with BUTIL.

You will need the DDf files to connect any 3-rd party product
including ODBC. If you need to create the DDF files you can take a
look at Btsearch at www.nssdd.com. It helps you analyze the structure
and builds the DDF files. It will also export to dbase or ascii
formats.
