Default Export data from btrieve - 11-27-2003 , 02:01 PM

Hello experts.

I assume this is quite a common question although I have found very little
information from google.

So, could anyone tell me how I would export data from btrieve files? I
dont have a copy of btrieve, just the files which are a mixture of .DDF
and .V1.

Is there a way of extracting the data from the files or do I need to
purchase some additional software?

If you have DDF's, then half the battle is done. See my white paper on ODBC
access (and exporting) from www.goldstarsoftware.com/press.htm for details how
to do this.

You could take a look at BtSearch at www.nssdd.com. It will export to
dbase or ascii formats.

If you have an ODBC driver, you could try using WinSQL Pro
(http://www.synametrics.com/winsql). It can export data to any other
ODBC target
