Error while connecting to database

Hi,

We have several Pervasive.SQL2000i databases running on NT4 server.

Quote:

From time to time (sometimes twice a week) we cannot open a file
anymore ... gives an error "File does not exist".

What we need to do then : create another database, with another name,
linking to the same DDF.
We link the original database then to the new DBNAME and then it's
working again.
After a few days we can use the original database name again (not all
the time).
When this occurs ... we normally have problems with 2 or 3 databases on
the same time.

What can be the reason for this?
Is there another way to solve this problem?
