Hi, a very simple question:
if one create (internal) indices at a time, when the file in question is used
from another workstation (record locks, record updates, inserts etc), can this
lead to any troubble? Or is "create index" allowed at any time?

My experience is that it can be done "at any time" even while the file
is in use. However I have not personally done it while records were
locked so I do not know if that would cause issues.

There is a bit of overhead doing that and that index can not be
accessed until it is finished.
