Default copy/clone btrieve database - 05-12-2005 , 04:02 AM

Hi,

I wanne copy my Pervasive SQL V8 Database which should be a Btrieve
Database as I understood it.
I know the MS SQL-Server. All I have to do with the SQL-Server is
Export and Import the whole Database.
As I see it in my Betrieve Database you can only export and import the
data of the tables not the structure as well.
This means that I have to export and import every table manually and
that I can't import the structure (datatypes for example)!?

Is there no way to handle this like I would do it with the SQL Server?

thanks,
Andreas

Pervasive has no function like this -- mainly because it is not needed!

Simply copy the DDF's and data files to their new location, create a
new DSN pointing to that new location, and you're done.

Hi Bill,

thanks! It's working!
If you know how to do it seems to be a stupid question....
