Default Convert Btrieve to CSV, Access, dbf or whatever.... - 05-17-2004 , 09:23 AM

Hello NG,

i'm currently searching for a method to convert Betrieve (*.Btr-Files) to a
common Database format. (comma separated file would be ok)

I tried some tools like btsearch32 and btview, but they won't work. Even if
i put the wbtrcall.dll to C:\windows\system and add the required section to
the win.ini btsearch is claiming that no betrieve could be found.....

I'm wondering that even Pervasive don't seem to offer a converting-Tool?

please help me,
Stefan

BtSearch32 uses the 32-bit drivers. The wbtrcall.dll is a 16-bit DLL.
You could use the 16-bit version of BtSearch with that DLL. If you
plan on using the ODBC drivers you will need the Btrieve drivers also.
You can download the trial version at www.pervasive.com/downloads.
If you download and install this then you will be able to use
BtSearch32 with no problems.

ODBC will only work with the data mapped through the DDF files

hmmm,

i've tried your 16-bit version, but it also don't want to work...
(stopping with errormsg "Error Error in loading dll" and "No resume")
I'm using W2k and had to add the bti.ini manually. My System directory is
c:\winnt - do you think this is a problem?

regards,
Stefan
