Default Change server name and IP address on win server with Pervasive2000 - 05-19-2006 , 02:08 AM

Hello,

Can I change server name and IP address of windows2003 server with
installed Pervasive2000 ?
Will Pervasive support new values or do I have to reinstall it after
name/ip change.

Thanks in advance,
Marcin

You can change the name and IP address without consequence to the PSQL
engine. Make sure that DNS is updated, so that PINGing the server by
name still works from every workstation.

If you have a vERY old PSQL2000i (older than SP2a), you may have
problems, so patch to SP3, then SP4, then the SP4 Hotfixes if possible.

If you have set the "Listen IP Address" in the configuration, be sure
to change it to the new address.
