Default btrieve 6.15 and Terminal Server : Error 20 - 11-05-2003 , 05:53 AM

Hi to all,

We have been working with an (external made) insurance application during
five years in our local area network.
Now, we have installed an intranet connecting 2 external offices in other
cities to the central office.
I have installed Windows 2000 terminal server. It seems to work fine with
other applications.

But I get the following results when trying to work whith the btrieve 6.15
based application.:

If domain user #1 connect alone = ok it works
If domain user #2 connect alone = ok it works
If a domain administrator connect alone = ok it works
If domain user#2 tries to connect when domain user #1 is connected I get
error 20.
If domain user#1 tries to connect when domain user #2 is connected I get
error 20
If domain administrator tries to connect when domain user#1 or domain user#2
are individually connected alone= ok it works.

Can anyone help me or give me any idea.

Btrieve 6.15 is not supported on Terminal Server

In the past, some people have been able to get Btrieve 6.15
workstation engine to work in Terminal Server by tweaking the
registry. As far as I know however, this environment did not use to be
very stable. Of course this was with original Citrix (NT 3.51 kernel)
and NT4. If you'd ask me whether Windows 2000 will add to stability or
totally wreck it, my money is on option number 2.

If you have more than 5 users on this application, you should really
consider upgrading to server engine. This should not only give you
increased stability and speed, but also solve your problem with
Terminal Server.
