Are you using the Btrieve 6.15 for NetWare Server Engine? Or are you
using the Workstation Engine (W32MKDE.EXE) on each individual computer?
If the quadcore box is running too fast, then you might want to try
restricting the process to a single CPU only. To do this, bring up the
Task Manager and right-click on the process you want to run. Select
"Set Affinity..." and enable it on ONE CPU only.
This may not help, but it is definitely worth a try. Obviously, the
Btrieve 6.15 client from 1995 was never tested nor supported on a
quadcore CPU.
