Default Accessing old btrieve databases - 08-12-2003 , 11:16 AM

Hello,
I'm totally new to Btrieve, and i need to access data from two old
btrieve databases. I've no .ddf files, no owner name, only a password. i
tried to use butil to export data but i still need the owner name of the
tables... Can i use a superuser or administrator profil, like system
manager in Oracle to perform those tasks ? Is there a solution to my
problems ?
Thanks in advance.

The owner name *IS* the file's password. Try:
BUTIL -RECOVER file.ext file.UNF /Opassword

For a better description of the system, check our white paper on ODBC access
