We are moving business premises this weekend and have got a number of new PC's. We are running 2000i on a Netware server. Should I continue to use 7.9 Client or is it safe to use the latest client 8.5? I will be upgrading the server engine to 8.5 in about a month. T.I.A. Eoin Fitzpatrick Dublin |

Which version is on the NetWare box? If you have Service Pack 4 with the HotFix updates, then you should be able to start right out with the V8.6 client on the new workstations. If you have an older engine, though, you definitely want to patch it first, or upgrade it to PSQLV8.6 at the same time. (The older PSQL2000i could experience database crashes if accessed by a PSQLV8 client, so this is very important.) Goldstar Software Inc.
