Default Scalability: BDB vs BDB Java Edition - 03-30-2006 , 09:10 AM

Hi,

I'd like to find out which edition of the Berkeley Database is more
suitable for an application that is written in Java and needs to be
scalable. The Java Edition obviously has the advantage of being written
completely in Java, whereas the standard edition seems to have much
better support for scalability (replication across multiple
servers...). Are there simple ways to achieve scalability with the Java
Edition or would you rather recommend to use the C implementetion and
to access it using its Java bridge?

Regards,
Luzius Meisser

hello luzius.meisser

can you try for scalability "jxta" to "spread" the work on many
devices, and then try to "crud" the "bdb"?
("jxta" is a standard from "sun").
