Default ODBC/JDBC for Berkeley DB - 02-08-2005 , 09:17 AM

Hello All,

I am trying to determine if there would be any interest in an
interface to provide ODBC, JDBC and .NET access to systems
built around Berkeley DB.

I want to be clear up front that we are not an open source
company, our product is based on a very complex system that
is in use at many sites and open source is not an option for
us. However, we offer a free version of our SDK for any
non-commercial use, and the stub implementation code for
Berkeley DB would be openly available. We would actively solicit
input from users and the community and welcome suggestions for
the SDK or modifications to the stubs.

Is there any interest, commercial or non-commericial, in
such an interface? Any and all input on what would make such
an interface most useful, and how to make it as widely
useable as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
David Partridge
