Default Compilation with gcc4.0.2 or gcc4.1 - 05-23-2006 , 03:01 AM

Hello,
I guess there are some people who use bdb / bdbxml under Suse- so I
hope someone has similar problems ;-)

The Compilation of BDB XML with gcc 4.1 for x86 32 bit works. However
when I try to open an Environment (using Java via JNI) I get an
exception.

When I set the gcc- Compiler Optimization to O0 or O1 it works. O2
(default) and O3 do not.

I had the same problem mit gcc 4.0.2 and hoped an upgrade of gcc would
solve the problem. Well- it didn't :-).

Has anyone had (and hopefully solved) the same problem?

Regards,

Peter

There is an FAQ entry in the Devzone to cover this issue. I would
recommend checking the articles in the FAQ since there are an
increasing number of articles there.
